It's not a scam! You have to send a proof of purchase and I had bought around 15 of them for 2 rigs and for other various uses BUT for that kind of price, there should be no defects whatsoever.

I had one that was running 200RPM below specs at 12V and another that made a slight ticking noise.
If they were 4$ Yate Loons, I would have expected this kind of thing.
I asked them if those problems were severe enough to RMA the fans to the reseller but they offered to send me free ones instead.

That's what I call great customer support.
If you need 2 but buy only 1 and then email them for a free one, now THAT's a scam!

BTW They have a 140mm model coming and even a new heatsink that uses 3 fans.

I have 7 Nf-p12 and 3 nf-s12-800 and one nf-s12 1200. I am pretty much sold on them I even like the colors as I like earth tones with brown etc. I have hordes of panaflo and delta new fans now to get rid of.

The first thing most people should know is the NF-P series are used for heatsinks etc. where there are obstructions or static pressure is needed. The NF-S series is used for a typical case fan role where there is no heatsink in front of it etc.

It would be a shame if a new noctua fan got all S series for heatsinks as you always want a NF-P12 basically for heatsinks.

As for teh above post I did notice that a few of my P12's ran a bit slower and my brand new NF-S12-800 for sure absolutley has a clicking noise that is much louder thatn the fan I really didnt like that.

Current case has 5 (P12) of them, my torture rack (black) though sadly won't have any of them unless I can figure out how to paint them without messing any of them up .

Now that my NH-U12P is here I have two of the NF-P12s. One I am using as a case fan on my side panel but soon it will be going on the Noctua cooler for push/pull. One thing I really like is the rubber pegs they use instead of screws. Anyone know if they sell those separately?

But yeah I like the fans a great deal, as well as the cooler. Nice and quiet, and throws much more air than other fans of similar noise level. Like the cooler, their fans exude quality. As a result they give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. There's something to be said for quality PC fans.
