Hi,
I have an Antec 900 case, and have switched out the blue LED fans with AC Ryan Blackfire4 fans. I want to control them with something, but don't have room for a front bay device, only a PCI slot type. I would love to piggyback the two front 120mm fans together and control them with a single unit. I haven't done that ever, but I read that this will work as long as:
Here's a pic of the front just to give an idea, hopefully it's worth the effort! ![]() ![]() Any suggestions? Thank you,

You could get rid of the central 80mm fan (does not push a lot of air anyway and it's noisy) and install an excellent fan controller there.

Silverstone makes a neat 3 channel controller you can put on the back or where ever really
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999046 I've used buttloads of these over the years.

Wow, those are both great ideas. I hadn't considered taking out the 80mm from the front, but now I'm going to consider it, thanks, guys!

So hey guys, if anyone has a chance to see this and has an opinion on fan controllers, I'm looking at these two, either the MacPower Digital Doc 5
__________________http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/madidoc54sev.html or the Bitspower XPIIII http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0295311 They're both super cheap right now, and I think either would solve my needs (2, possibly 3 fans to control, and they are all identical, and I think that at their max, each fan draws 0.23 amps (could that be right)? So if a channel can handle 1 amp, then I could safely put 2 fans on a single channel, right? Anyway, thanks to whoever might come across this and has a word to say. :-) Edit: I feared the MacPower was going to sell out, and it seemed like such an incredible deal, I went for it! Looks like a real winner of a product!

Read up on the MacPower Digital Doc and ended up cancelling that order. . . .I should have known at such a price it was too good to be true. Apparently for what it does, it's great (thermal monitoring) but what I require is actually RPM control, like SpeedFan.
__________________I decided on the Gatewatch 2, received it Friday and returned it this morning via RMA, because though it does allow manual RPM setting, and has an "auto" mode, all the auto mode does is keep the fan at its lowest setting, without modifying RPMs at all, as temperatures soar, and then it buzzes an alarm. I just ordered the Kaze Server, which has 3 modes, Auto, Semi-Auto and Manual. In Semi-Auto, it is supposed to keep fans running at a speed which I set as the baseline, along with setting a temp at which the Kaze Server starts increasing the RPM (or maybe even just goes to 100%, which is still better than the Gatewatch 2) but a linear scale of some kind is what I'm hoping for. If it doesn't work like I want it to, I'll go back to having 2 fans controlled beautifully by SpeedFan, and get a Silverstone or EverTwist etc. manual single knob control for the remaining incorrigibleside fan, which now sticks out as being the loudmouth of the bunch.
