I saw no anger in his tone. He is a very professional man and I don't think he was mad, just curious.

On topic: the max safe temp according to AMD is 62.7 (may be wrong about the decimal) so 60C is good enough.
To help the temps, it may be wise to place the fan so that it blows the air up (in relationship to how your cooler is currently mounted). It also my help to reseat your cooler with good thermal paste. OCZ freeze, AS5, ICD7, TX2, MX-2 are all good pastes.

Very true. I mean, I was trying to learn more because all I know is Intel, and I don't even know much about them. When it comes to AMD, I am completely lost when it comes to the voltage range, average temps with high-end air cooling, etc.

But as for the max safe temp: that is something I know about: they measure that on the top of the integrated heat spreader, not at the cores. So, I imagine that the maximum safe core temp is more like 85, maybe 90°C; kinda like Intel's TjMax.

Anyway, I agree that TX-2 is a good thermal paste. I actually have some my self. I bought it because of everything I read about it (a few different reviews at different sites). So, regarding the thermal paste: we're covered.

WELL, i was trying and i concluded that if i want to put the cooler to throw air to the exhaust fan on the case (as Scythe recomend), i have to take out the heatspreader of ONE of my GSkill pi.

what to dou think? should i take it out? or it will be dangerous?

i have the memories OCED to 1066 (from 1000mhz) and 2.1v

If I'm not mistaken, the heatspreaders are epoxied on

Don't do it

Other than the high temps (if they are too high), do you see the system hanging too often?

You have to put the fan in the direction where they pass through the ridges between the heat pipes. It doesn't matter if your RAM heatsinks cause it to miss the bottom fins, just stuck in on anyway. 59C is what I get on load with a Mugen I @ 3.6ghz/1.475v.

Edit: Also you have the same board as me, have you tried just using the second pair of RAM slots? I know the manual recommends against it but they usually work fine.

Another thing that helps is duct-taping the sides of the coolers once you get a fan on in the right direction.

I also use IC7 diamond, I'd recommend it as it dropped my temp a few degrees below what OCZ Freeze could do.
