Hello people, today i bought a new MUGEN 2. well... what can i say. its precious! but, i think something is wrong because my temps arent good:
__________________I get about 40ºc at idle and 60ºc at full load with prime95. im using my signatures 940BE OCed to 3.6ghz at 1.47v. I THINK that the problem is because im not using the FAN in the direction that Scythe recommends, that its from the front of the case to the exhaust fan. THAT is BECAUSE i cant put the fan in that way because of the memories that are so tall and with the fan. there are some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I TOUCHED the heatsink and i noticed that the first to portions of the heatsink are pretty cool, the third one is warmer and the last 2 are pretty hot!. Yeah, i know its about the fan that should be in the Scythe's recommended position, BUT I CANT put in that position, bcause i will have only 1 memory slot available. SO!, what should i do? put the fan throwing air to the heatsink from the bottom part of the case? but if i do so, the heatsinks fan will be extremely near to the case's exhaust fan and what would happen?! thankyou for answering! PD_ i have it with Tuniq TX2 thermal grease!

Wait, you're getting 60°C load from the Small FFTs test using 1.47V? I may not know AMD chips, but that seems really cool for 1.47V.

Oh. Then what's more normal for 1.47V and high-end air cooling?

i doubt highly that you are gonna get 50c load temps no matter what air cooler you use. also the fan needs to be on the front or back not on a side.

I agree and those are quite good temps for the vcore and overclock you have.

Those temps are normal for that voltage man. If you move the fan to the front or back of the cooler you will see temps drop a few degrees, but not anything significant. What chip did you have before this to make you think your temps are too high?

Those temps are fine
I recommend getting a different fan since you're running it like that though Sleeve bearing fans aren't made to run in that orientation for long (Or maybe swap in one of your case fans if you're feeling cheap)
