I need to stop buying lots of fans and just get the right ones. I've already purchased 5 fans. they work, but they're not quite what I want.

not that i've know of =/.. but if u can, get a 3pin to 4pin converter.. and slot it into your motherboard.. the Coolermaster 90CFM (bull**** spec 70cfm imho) 120mm Blue LED Fan seems good, but runs louder than the dba stated (25++ dba)

My problem is that I don't have any open 5.25" drives, so the only controller I can get would be a 3.5" and I can't find one with more than 4 controllers... I guess I could run both the deltas on my heatsink on 1 channel... The Ultra controller goes up to 13V. I'll do some research. In the meantime, if anyone knows of some good fans, let me know.

The problem is that in high CFM fans most of the noise is generated by the airflow itself, not by the motor, and there isn't much you can do about it.
__________________Get a fan controller and you'll be able to tone it down when you need quiet, and rave it up when you need performance. I have 4 variable speed (800-2500rpm) CM fans with a fan controller: when I turn it down to 1200-1500 rpm, I can barely hear them, but when I push it to 2500 rpm (110CFM) x4, it's like I'm in a server room.

I'm just really surprised that there aren't any high performance fans (Delta, Kaze, etc.) that have LEDs as an option. I wonder if I could put some on myself?

imo, fans without LEDs tend to be much better than with.

I think I'll grab a controller, keep most of my LED fans and keep my deltas on my CPU heatsink and put some LEDs on those. Thanks for the help.

The high performance 38mm fans are really made for servers. There is no reason for looks on servers. They are bought installed in a rack or closet and then they close the doors on them.
__________________Try Antec fans are the best I have seen for LED fans. Other than that modding is your best option. Also, the 4 pin fan headers are for PWM(pulse width modulated) fans. They are not controlled by voltage like most normal fans.
