Default E8400 at 4.2 Need New Cooler

Right now I have the old Zalman 9700 on my C2D. It is a little outdated and my load temps at 4.1 with 1.32V are hitting 65'C. I was looking for something easy to work with?

Possibly the Zalman 9900?

I've ran an E8400 aat 1.32v vcvore and managed temps just fine with a Xigmatek cooler (max load was 54°C). Look into the Dark Knight, it comes with a bolt-through mount.

do not buy an overpriced zalman 9900, when a $30 xigmatek will beat it

Great job on that OC, you have a really nice chip! The Dark Knight, as mentioned above, is the best bang for the buck out there right now and I think it'll make you very happy.

The only downside is that you are going to have to remove your mobo to install it. But to improve your performance at this point that is a necessity, I'm afraid.

Get a Dark Knight. It is basically the Xigmatex's darker cousin with mounting brackets and more awesome. Hell I am running a my siggy with my second fan off (which I plan on removing) and I am hitting 68C (since it is summer) max load @ 1.38125v. That really is not that bad when you think about it. Then when I go up to 3.8 @ 1.45v I am hitting 74!
