Thanks for the link covertash, think I'll give some of it a try, but I've decided to save a bit and get a TRUE and some nice fans.

The X3 720 and UD4P in my sig come today so I'll see how the BT does, don't think I'll be going for a very high OC until I get the hang of AMD (always had Intel until now).

No problem. If you check the link, the OP apparently is now using a Phenom X4 9850 BE with the same BT. So I imagine the performance he's getting is still very good. But if anything, ask him how he's doing with it and if he can give you any extra pointers until you can get a hold of a TRUE.

Hmm, temps don't seem to be as bad as I thought they'd be. 50C after an hour of Prime95 with the 720 BE at 3.6GHz, 1.5V. Not sure if that's good for AMD, but it's a heck of a lot cooler than my Q6600.

Have the AC on though, ambient is about 26C, outside it's maybe 35C, so I'm sure temps will go up a decent amount once the AC is off. Need to get a TRUE!

You heard wrong. The "paint" doesn't affect temps whatsoever, the DK comes with a much better fan, and it comes with the bolt-through kit. If anything, the DK should get much BETTER temps than the regular s1283.

Don't sweat it, you made the right choice .

Anyone have a link to some comparisons? Still not sure if the extra money for a TRUE over Dark Knight would be worth it to me.
