Considering what youre working with and the poor power connection layout, its not bad.
That cooler doesnt actually look that bad. Seems like a lot of the people were happy with it. And yeah the new modular PSU's are pretty much just as reliable as the non-mods. Just get a quality unit and you'll be alright.

Im going to have to agree with lemondrips. There is noting wrong with modular power supplies. It is just propaganda. They are great for cable management, and the best of the best here use them. I personally am very weary of things of this type of issue. I own one, LOVE IT. Power degradation is not big enough to make you not buy one. the power loss is so small its measured in .00 volts. Nothing you could possible notice that could effect performance.
Also, more likey to fail? Compared to what? Other PSU's? Mine carries a 5 year warranty. Im not worried about failure. I wouldnt let the hype scare you away from these psu's.

Looks like you stuffed all the cable in the empty 5.25 Bays

Corsiar 520HX FTW.
Modular PSUs are nice - just get a quality unit. If you haven't already - bundle up excess wire and zip-tie them tightly so the bundles take up less space. Then you'll be able to hide the bundles in the drive bays and they will look cleaner. Zip-ties are you friend

I'd suggest just getting a new case for about 50 bucks that has better cable management instead of a new PSU if that one is working fine no point in getting another.

pretty good actually. A modular PSU would help a lot and a hole cut into the motherboard tray up where you have the clump of PSU cables right next to the PSU.
Also if you get a new case get the CM 690

well color me enlightened im down with modular PSU's!!! I really was to begin with hence the joke about lieing to myself
__________________ but now i really want one. And i got this case for free and "ol'faithful" was really long in the tooth so i decided to move it over so ill stick with it "its not soo bad ....right ....dam it is " anyway yeah i zip tied er'thing real good in their, just the psu has really odd layout so i promise thats the best i can come up with haha and yes i did just cram all the extra in the 5.3 bay but i figured the circumstances it wasent too bad. OOOOO i wanted to ask say i wanted just one molex on a wire coming out of the psu insted of the 4 on it that are on the end of it can i just cut the end off and electrical tape it where that first molex ends or is that asking for trouble.

Dalder, yes you can just clip them off, but you'll have to connect the wires so the last molex connector has power. The best way to do this is with solder and heatshrink. Its also the safest. As for your case, it is SMALL! your GPU extends under the 5.25" drive bays! Get yourself a larger case something along the lines of a Cooler Master 590 or a coolermaster RC690. They're both very good cases with good cable management. Very easy to work with and have excellent cooling. No need to get a new PSU when the one you have works just fine. BTW, I use a CM590 with my PCP&C PSU's which are non modular and have lots of cables. And the cable management system works really well. And come to think of it so does the screwless attachments for the PCI/e cards.
