AMD Overclocker
|
Okay, So I have an AMD 7850 overclocked to 3.0ghz. I originally had stock cooling using AS5. I would idle at about 50C
__________________![]() Today I installed the Dark Knight using a custom vertical mounting bracket and AS5. My temps dropped at least 30 degrees. My Idle is around 20C and below! Very Impressive drop to say the least! Here are some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice temps, damn.
You might want to remove the fan from your harddrive though... you want to keep those at ~30 degrees.

15c is only 59 degrees Fahrenheit... what's the temperature in your room?? Because you've either got a freakin cold room, or your temperatures are off.

Put another fan on the backside....push/pull config and you'll see temps go even lower
![]() IMHO, the Dark Knight is the absolute best bang-for-your-buck CPU Cooler on the market!

In the SpeedFan picture, I have an AC system that was blowing 68F air into the PC. Without that It stays at 20C. My temps are correct.

Great upgrade I'm sure, I recommend this cooler for builds that don't need a TRUE/Megahalems on another site. But isn't it impossible to have a lower than ambient temperature without a sub-ambient temperature producing substance?
__________________20C is 68F, so your 68F AC is keeping your CPU at 68F, either extreme efficiency in heat dissipation or temps are off.
