You'll notice in the manual that there's a 3 or 4 pin fan connector just for the CPU heatsink. You can fit a 3 pin on a 4 pin. You'll notice that there's a groove and it'll show you which 3 pins to use. When you get your motherboard (bloodrage hopefully ), you'll notice it easily.

Either one of those fans should be fine. The first one is obviously louder, but it will push more air.

the only review I've seen on it was the [H] one I think? The one where the guy gives a crappy review due to the fact that he cut himself on the waterblock. The board is really nice though, and it's even better since it has had a pretty good price drop.

I cut myself on the LN2 pot..that logo is sharp as hell! The board is very good though. Best it its price range for sure. Unless you need 6 DIMM slots for some reason, or want tri SLI.

The Bloodrage looks nice, great for SLi an OCing BUT... performance wise its gets beaten in raw FPS in every review I read by the Asus an Gigabyte boards.
I was eyeing that as well especially with the price drop, but I like better FPS than better looks an SAS controllers

But the best thing about this Bloodrage (an i really like this fact) if u goQuad SLI with 2 GTX 295s theres lots of space between the cards the way PCIE slots are located.

SO I think an Asus P6T vanilla is the best bet for less than 250 bucks.

of course. games are all that matter to most of us. an the Blood rage is behind by at least 5FPS in most benches.

Ok, I looked up some of these FPS reviews like this one: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/175...d/index12.html

Bloodrage seems to be like 2 fps from the top one there? I never see people getting motherboards based on their fps due to so many variables. How many programs running in the background can throw off tests. Leave the fps to the video card please. The bloodrage OCs fine and that's all I really look for, as I won't have any bottleneck on my 260s in SLI. I never like Asus because of their ram issues.
