I am in a dilemma here, the Prolimatech(including fan and S&H) is 50 dollars more expensive compared to the dark knight. The dark knight I can get it for 62 bucks but the Promlimatech is 114 bucks. Is it really worthwhile to spend that extra bit of money?

Go with the Dark Knight, I just picked one up from Newegg for my son's build for $39 and it comes with the back plate. So it's actually a better deal than buying the regular one that doesn't come with it and having to pay $10 more for the bracket, plus it looks great and it's a 3 pipe HDT which is suppose to be better for intel cpus. I've read tons of reviews and the S1283 is always on top, so I took a chance.
My sons E5200 is overclocked to 3.3 on stock voltage and was idling at 38c and under stress on Orthos would climb to 60c before I had to stop the program because I didn't want it to get any hotter. I installed the Dark Knight and now CPU idles at 28c and under Orthos does not go any higher than 44c. I'm a firm believer in the 1283. Only problem is now his side panel won't go on lol. Make sure to take some Arctic Silver 5 or whatever you use and fill in the cracks around the heat pipes on the 1283 for better heat transfer. I filled in the cracks and then used a rubber glove to spread it on the cpu as well. Buy one, you'll love it! |

Get this
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...oducts_id=7650 and this http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=10956 Vendetta 2 is slightly better than the S1283 The Mugen 2 is also better than the S1283 (Better than the Vendetta 2 as well) The drawback is it's rather big, though if your case is big enough that won't matter to you. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...oducts_id=8743

have you checked the various sites selling Megahalems to see if they can ship overseas? I'm not sure what the customs are like in your country, so it may not be feasible.

I would honestly spend the extra money for the prolimatech, coolers just don't get better than that. I bought one for my father to upgrade from a tuniq tower which used to idle at 45c and load at 65c, however with the upgrade to the megahalems, temps dropped to 36c idle and 55c load, making a huge difference, with cheap scythe slipstream fans for now (2 panaflo's on the way for a push/pull). I honestly havn't seen a better cooler with an amazing mounting system and the cooler itself is flat and reflective on the bottom which is a huge plus.
spend money upfront and you won't need to upgrade later. edit: oh and those temps listed are with a 95F ambient temperatures (damn socal summers)
