oh , can anyone tell me if the controller will handle all my fans without burning out?
i see the limit is 7w and 0.58A at 12v...
my 3x Evercool's ARE 0.58A at 12v, and my ultra kaze is 0.60...
is there any risk?

Sorry to hear about the Zalman. BTW I got the Zalman, had a kaze master, had a rhoebus and rhoebus extreme and I still like my zalman the best. However the knobs are not my favorite, that goes to the Kaze Master. But the looks of the Zalman are nice. BTW your fans will be fine on either of those controllers, however only have 1 fan be channel.

...sorry to hear that.

I've been through about 8-9 of these (not all my own builds) and have yet to have an issue.

Nice that you will get the Kaze for free.

I got a Kaze Server last week, after having a bad try of the Aerocool GateWatcher 2 (not really a fan controller, really more just a monitoring device)

I'm very happy with the Kaze Server's capabilities and results, though I am frustrated by not placing the thermal sensors properly, not being able to make them stick anywhere in a way that will both be sturdy enough to handle having the wire just lightly touched, and provide a meaningful temperature. By meaningful, I mean a temperature that varies along with the true temperature of whatever area the sensor is monitoring, and doing so on a scale somewhat in line with the actual item.

I started manually recording the temps from both the sensors I placed, as well as the temps reported (using HWMonitor and my onboard sensors) to compare the difference. I wanted to be sure to have an accurate enough change in the new sensor's reported temps to find the sweet spot at which to begin increasing fan speed for that area.

I am going to have to order some extra replacement thermal sensors because I have already burned through both of the spare sensors that come in the box. Apparently the sensors do not enjoy being pulled through braided cable sleeving, so I might have to do something else with those ugly wires once I find a good spot to monitor the Core temps. In between my memory chips might be the best spot, but that number doesn't seem to rise and fall completely in line with the CPU activity.

Anyway, hope this can be of use to someone & good luck with whatever controller you go with.

-Will
