Overclocking your CPU will give no real feel in better performance, forget about that
__________________![]() Overclocked CPU's make a real difference when stressed, such as in benchmarks, in games, ... I'm sorry to say that theres nothing you can do if you don't have any money to invest. (You can't even overclock with your motherboard). And btw, being 14 and having no job is no reason to not have money? Go find a job or ask parents? Or just save up? Thats how I put together part of my rig ^^

Hey, I'm 14, look at me system! But maybe that's just because my Dad is just wonderfully nice to me.
![]() In case you want things to pop up instantly, you can expect to buy an SSD, such as the X25-M that can do that. But come on, even on my frankly modest system things aren't that smooth. Windows just gets old and creaky and soon enough becomes intolerably stupid. Overclocking your CPU will be okay up to a point, where the RAM and GPU bottlenecks your CPU hitting a kind of virtual wall. The performance benefits after hitting that wall will be naught. ![]() I suggest you get a better motherboard first or a better graphics card if you're on a budget.

Then why are you thinking about getting an E8x00? I'm just saying an SSD would be a better investment than a faster CPU if you want programs to load quickly.

You need a new motherboard if you even want to overclock.
You need money to go from proprietary (Dell, Compaq, HP, Emachines) to custom-built. After the switch, upgrades aren't that expensive.
