I don't consider MIR's as a price cut because

A. They're a hassle to fill out
B. Sometimes (most of the time) you don't even get them back
C. If you do happen to get a rebate back, it's usually like sometime next year

The S1283 is above $30


FYI I mailed in a $10 rebate for my S963 back in August and I still haven't gotten it back.
