Idle temperature at the moment is:

CPU - 42 degrees,
System - 38 degrees,
at 3,308 rpm.

Processor is only an E8500 on a Rampage Formula X48

Feedback?, thanks
Dragonfly, hey bro, i just bought the Zalman 9900 LED and i will say it works great, ive got a Q6600 o/ced to 3.2ghz and it idles at 32c on all cores with load might get up to 38 or 40c depends on if i got all my fans turned up. but so far its been working good, ran Intel Burntest and Prime95 to warm up the fresh app of AS5 and it got up too 62c and never moved past that when benching. hope this helps in your decision.

With the mugan, do you just use the one fan or have you got a second on the back?

but you do have the option to connect an additional to the rear facing side if you use the included one as a front intake. I looked so I know you can, has anyone actually used it with two fans connect?

thanks

I dont believe it comes with two sets of fan clips but I have seen it used with 2 fans installed in a push/pull setup. Here is an info thread about the mugen 2 http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...nter-club.html

I have a Artic square on my 6000+ and it does a good job of keeping it cool.Idle @29c/31c and loads with Prime@ 45c/46c but your e8500 has 3x the cache and runs hotter even at lower voltage.I would also suggest the S1283 or DK which will do a much better job.I ran this Xigy on my e8600@4.2GHz and had the same idle temps but just a tad higher on load as the Asus on my 6000+
