Whatever is cheaper, it doesn't matter.

Wrong OCZ freeze is better and will give lower temps
AS5 has a burn in time, While OCZ freeze does not, IC Diamond is good to. it only has an 1hr burn in time. AS5 has a longer burn in time

OCZ Freeze all the way. Noticeably better temps and no burn-in.

Just my opinion, but I use OCZ Freeze and it's been a lot cooler than AS5 by a noticeable margin.

On the directions it says just to apply a little and place the heatsink on top, since ocz freeze is really hard to spread.

It's hard stuff to spread so I just drop a grain of rice amount in the middle of my cpu an let the cooler spread it out when I tighten it down. Works well I find.
