Question Prolimatech Megahalems and AM2 Compatiability

Was wondering if there is a compiled list of motherboards that this cooler is compatiable with, i.e if it blocks any memory slots, as well as computer cases. I tried to go on their website but I'm at work and the proxy is blocking the site. Gh3y. Any help greatly appreciated.

Specific application in question is MSI 790FX-GD90 motherboard(AM3) and any mid tower cases, but I'm currently looking at the CM Scout/Sniper

I have the CM Scout with the V-8 and a GA-MA790X-UD4P AMD and it doesn't block the ram, I also have Lian-Li with the M3N-TH AMD with the Megahalem mounted facing the rear fan and it blocks the first ram but removing just the fan alone is no big deal if I needed to get to it.
You should get the AM2 Adapter Kit though so you can mount the cooler either direction.

I have a ASUS M4A79T Deluxe, if I had not bought the AM2 adapter kit (google ARM-01), it would have blocked my first ram slot. Most of these monster heatsinks will block the first ram slot on any AM3 motherboard. The 120x25mm fan I got bumps the top of the ram now, so no worries. My case is just wide enough to clear the top with about 3cm or more to spare.

I have the AM2 adapter kit, idk about your motherboard, but I had to physically modify my adapter to work. First thing to know is that it WILL float (ie it's loose) before you attach the Megahalems, it is suppose to do this according to Prolimatech. Second, before you do anything, do a test fit, I found that I had to cut a 3x3mm chunk out to fit it over the edge of the cpu socket with the lever arm (a Dremel & ream took care of that quick). I wasn't to happy having to do this, but it worked.

What's your ambient temperature? Your "to hot" cpu may not be the fault of your heatsink.

Right now I am using the Enzotech that I had to modify to work, not happy with the look. I got tired of waiting for frozen cpu to have it back in stock so I just ordered the AM2 adaptor kit from SVC.
