I am tired of being able to hear my computer, so my goal it to make it inaudible. I need to buy a total of 4 fans to accomplish. My biggest noise maker is my GPU, which right now gets pretty hot folding, and take a fair amount to keep below the magic 70c. I am going to give it a artic acellero rev2 as well as some artic duo fans, which I have used before and found to be rather effective. If anybody knows these fans to be load, please let me know:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835186021 I want to replace the two front intake fans on my antec 900 as well as the two fans I have in push-pull on my TRUE. With my config at an ambient temp of around 35-37 C (probably 40 under load) I am hitting max load temps somewhere in the neighborhood of 60c at 1.49v. My goal is to be able to replace these four fans and keep my max load temp below 65c at full load. I also want them to be as quite or quiter then the big 200mm top case fan on the low setting. I am figering perhaps a pair of 120mmx38mm panflows for TRUE and maybe some scythic s-flex to replace me case fans. They are flippin expensive though, and I would like to be able to get something cheaper. Ultimately I will pay a reasonable price for something that is effective. Any help/personal experience would be great, I am shooting for a total noise level equal to about a closed refrigerator or something.

I wouldnt go with the Artic cooling fans,These for case fans as they offer good CFM and are fairly quiet http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/120mmfans.html

Or you can go with the slipstreams for casefans which work out better as its more cfm for around the same DB

I don't know, I guess I am like most people and don't trust the advertised ratings. Any personal experience with any of these? My goal is to try to be pretty damn near silent (I have a fan controller but I would be nice if I didn't have to use it).

I've used a mix of Scythe Gentle Typhoon and S-FLEX 120mm fans in my Antec 300 case. It is now almost silent. But I did add a lot of sound deadener to the case, put all the fans on silicone mounting "screws", and cut away the grilles behind the front air intake filter. I like the Gentle Typhoon and S-FLEX because the bearings are quiet and they are available in several speeds so you can mix & match to put the airflow where you need it.
The Accelero Xtreme rev 2 works really nicely, on my 9600GT it doesn't even need its own fan. Idle temps dropped dramatically over the stock cooler. (But the case's side fan is pointing directly at the video card.) On my wife's PC I strapped a 120mm low speed S-FLEX fan to the GPU cooler with cable ties - cheap, quiet, and effective!
