I have 3x 80mm case fans stacked on my K7SOM+ 7.5v on-board CPU...

I think you'd be better off with one, or two fans, and a duct/shroud between them and the heatsink.

Or, just a single, more powerful fan.

with in 1 minute of running it went from 51c to 46c then dropped to 42c after i just took the pic

I think you would be better off wth getting a 80mm to 120mm fan adapter and using a decent 120.

You would just use something like this:

Two options present themselves to you.

1- Use only one fan, and gut another for a shroud. Use the last one to cool the mobo.

2- Get the converter with a 120mm fan of your preference, and attach the 3 old fans to a small animal and laugh.
