I said I was overclocking later, and at stock I have 0.944 vCore w/o Turbo, w/Turbo it goes up to 0.992.

You would be MUCH better off with a good cooler like the Megahalem or IFX-14 and a quiet fan. There is no way a Zalman will be able to cut it on an i7 system, it probably wouldn't do any better than the stock HSF.

In my experience, they will start to throttle (PROCHOT) at 98C (assuming the TJmax is calibrated to 100C) and won't shutdown (therm trip) till 125C.

An average C0 can be run at 3.8GHz HT enabled, with a TRUE and a good fan, or equivalent.

A D0 fares a bit better.

So there are different "generations" or whatever you want to call them for i7's? Like the Q6600 G0's? So D0's are the ones to get and I suppose OC a little better due to better efficiency?

Correct. The specific batch you have can make a difference, too. Since there are new batches being done all the time, it's hard to say which is the best.

Of course.

I am still gonna have to check out the dual socket BIOS's for myself... if only I could find screens somewhere... fast Xeons not only are very expensive but also seem like such a waste when we all know they would most likely clock very similarly to 920's.
