Hey Iam gonna get a Q9550 an Gigabyte EP45 UD3R mobo soon an i wanna OC it to 4 gig if possible.
So planning to get a good cooler, but nuttin too expensive like a TRUE or Megahlem (or whatever), those are over 60 bucks an don't even come with a fan. ![]() I've got my eye on these 3. all are the same price. which is better?? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233003 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835207004 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835202007 an is the Noctua worth the extra 20 over those? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835608002 thanks. |

This one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233029 it's pretty much the same as the first link you posted but it comes with a mounting backplate, it's cooler looking, and the fan is a little bit better.

Scythe Mugen 2 would be my vote but you don't have it on your list.
The noctua is definitely worth the money. They are up there with the TRUE but the noctua comes WITH a fan (which is also an AWESome fan).

The OCZ Vendetta does a surprisingly good job on this series of chips for one reason or another. My friend has the 92mm version and it's able to keep his 9400 under 60 degrees at load on max voltage under prime 95 small FFts
