Default Can I replace my northbridge fan with this fan?

I needed to change my northbridge fan on my EVGA 750i FTW with a better one right yall? Anyhow I bought this fan but did not realize a vital characteristic. This fan has two wires, a red and blue one. The original fan has three wires yellow, red and black. The fan I bought did not have a connector it simply had the two wires stripped. I had to purchase a 3 pin connector. Im not sure this fan will work or not. here is the link.

its the fourth fan from the top on this page
OD6025-12H
http://sigma.octopart.com/1260/datas...D6025-05HB.pdf

this is how the stock fan 3-pin connector looks like

ll ll ll
1 2 3

1 is black
2 is red
3 is yellow

how do i set up if I am able to use the fan stated above?

I was thinking this set up

ll ll ll
1 2 3

1 blue(im gonna say blue is negative)
2 red (red is always positive
3 blank, no wire (since I only have 2 wires on my fan im gonna say red is positive and blue is negative.

Any suggestions please let me know. I might be totally wrong and might not even be able to use this fan. Thanks guys.

Do you already have the fan? The Spotcool is really easy to set up and works well. The best performance however is with an 80mm fan.

Check out my tests (which got one reply...): http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...on-w-pics.html

If you can get it connected to the 3-pin female, then yes. Red positive, blue negative.

0.15 amps is fine to run off the mobo.
