The IFX-14 is great, but you have to spend many hours lapping & pressure modding it for it to beat the performance of the Megahalems. The Megahalems is the best cooler straight out of the box period. Also, the IFX-14 might not fit on your board with a good fan on it.

but the ifx-14 will still beat the megahalems if it has 3 fans vs the megas only 2, and if its lapped, + the backside cooler.

yes straight out of box megahalem, but ifx-14 when used properly would be slightly better performance wise.

It's useless debating, all these coolers have there pros and cons and are neck n neck in performance.

If you want to have the ULTIMATE air cooler you should buy COPPER TRUE, LAP IT, PRESSURE MOD, DUAL Delta 200CFM Fans in push & pull config with a shroud on both of em. There you go ends of story that's the best air cooler PERIOD.

Now watch the hoards of people that will tell me it's too heavy, PUT A BUNGEE CORD ON IT, WERE OCN HERE!

The Megahalem has been shown to outperform the Copper TRUE. The Copper TRUE only gets about 2-3c cooler than the regular TRUE anyway.
