Any differences between the H1011 and the H101 models for San Aces? I see some H101 fans for sale on eBay. Should I go ahead and buy a couple of them for the Megahalems?

Questions-
__________________Does the Mega need a 38mm fan for proper cooling? At Frozen CPU they sell SilenX 120 x 38 mm fans with Fluid Dynamic Bearings. They claim 18 dba for the 90 cfm fan. But no info on the static pressure of this fan. Is the fan worth it? Thanks. H

Most of the sites that tested the Megahalems said it does work best with 38mm fans, but it doesn't come with 38mm clips. I checked other forums and they all agree SilenX fans are just garbage. You can't get 18dBa on a fan that is releasing 90cfm. I would go for San Ace fans first if you can find them, then Panaflo fans. Delta fans are only recommended if you can stand the noise. No one has an answer to my question about the different San Ace models ending in H1011 and H101?

That depends on what series you're referring to. The 109R1212H1011 that everyone knows and loves here has 4 more CFM, but less static pressure than the 9G1212H1011, its blades are quite fragile, it (supposedly) doesn't undervolt as well, and it draws more power. As for the actual 9G1212H101s that you can get from Newark, the difference between that and the 9G1212H1011 is that the 1011 is ribless, which means it doesn't have the closed channels running from the front of each corner to the back (makes installing on some heatsinks difficult). Hope this solves your mysteries.

Pretty cheap and push decent amount of air for the noise.

That depends on if you can find the ribless model, or even the 9G ribless (you can buy the 9G ribbed on Newark, but it'll come with bare leads, you need to fit the 3-pin connector yourself). If you can't, then the ribbed 109R should be fine as long as it works.

Is is worth the price to get two of them or should I go for Panaflo fans instead?

That's a really good question... I'd get a few of both if you can afford that.
