Looks like it was fine before you pulled it apart. I don't know about that being better paste than AS5 though. I use the Diamond paste. Best results ever for me..

Anyway, ill try taking some off, as it idles @ 40 In the BIOS, and b4 it idled 36 C with the other thermal grease i had one before.

Maybe more, maybe less. Ill see.

(yes, idle temps mean nothing, but.. they do.. imo.. hehe)

Looks good but it's a bit thick. Try just putting a very thin line in the middle and don't spread it manually.

i just put a dab of it then use a glove and spread it all around the cpu until its thin.

if you put a dot in the middle and mate the HSF to the cpu right it will spread evenly and thin. If it oozes out the sides that is usually too much.
