Looks like it was fine before you pulled it apart. I don't know about that being better paste than AS5 though. I use the Diamond paste. Best results ever for me..

oh deerdy deerdy, DEERDY am scared Anyway, ill try taking some off, as it idles @ 40 In the BIOS, and b4 it idled 36 C with the other thermal grease i had one before. Maybe more, maybe less. Ill see. (yes, idle temps mean nothing, but.. they do.. imo.. hehe)

Looks like way too much to me, try using the as5 line method.

Looks good but it's a bit thick. Try just putting a very thin line in the middle and don't spread it manually.

if you put a dot in the middle and mate the HSF to the cpu right it will spread evenly and thin. If it oozes out the sides that is usually too much.
