NH-U12P is a lot better than the Freezer 7.

Thought so. There is an Arctic Freezer 7 lying around on my desk and i remember i had pretty nice temps with it so i figured i will ask :-D

If it is going on your quad, there is no question that the Noctua is the better choice. If it were a dual-core, you could do the ACF7P and probably be just fine.

Depends, if the ACF7 was just "laying" around and for Noctua you have to spend some bucks, I would go for ACF7. I do not think 5 degrees celsius is worth 80 $

Well, after reading that thread, it would appear that you had the TjMax set at 100 instead on 90. That would mean that you are probably hitting 54C and not 64C as you originally thought. 54C at full load on a OCd q6600 is actually very good. I would be quite happy with those temps.

I would have to vote the Noctua, I upgraded to it from the ACF7, and I couldn't be happier, I was able to squeeze out an extra 300Mhz, and dropped temps by 10c.
One of the best purchases I ever made tbqh, amongst many bad ones
