Hey everyone, I recently purchased 6 new coolermaster fans and installed them yesterday. I installed them into a CM690 and now the case vibrates. I tracked it be the 2 top fans but how do I stop it? I found that is I apply pressure to the top it stops vibrating but I dont want to set there with my hand on my PC so right now I have a Windows Server 2003 book setting on it (about 4 inch thick)
HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rubber washers over the screws will help dramatically.

Try a rubber grommet in between the fan and case. Or tighten the screws more.

I had the same issue with my CM690, luckily I had fans with 3 different speed settings, I have most of them set to medium instead of high.
You might want to get a fan controller. Rubber grommets might help if the vibration is between the fan and case, rather than just the case shaking.

x2. For me rattling is usually caused by loose screws.

If an anti-vibration measure (rubber washers will do) doesn't fix it, then perhaps see if you can get an exchange?
Do the guilty fans vibrate when the are in all orientations (i.e. vertical and horizontal)?

Are you using Fan screws? If so tighten them, if not:
The items in a kit like this http://www.jab-tech.com/Nexus-Anti-V...s-pr-3126.html can take care of those vibrations.

Just place electrical tape on the edges of the fan housing, or on the case, that should absorb the vibration nicely. 1-2 layers thick of it should do the trick nicely.
