This happened when I installed my noctua. Try it on a box with the cooler loose but not too loose. Kinda half. Also if it works then you have a ground in your case. It happened with my motherboard in my case. I reall ydo think that is what happned. If you don't wanna take it out and try it then just put electrical tape, black rubbery tape and put it where your backplate is on the case.

I would try that.

Now is a good time to unplug the psu and unplug every thing else. Everything. Take your time and reinstall every little thing. Even Fan plugs. Then make sure that you plug in that DVI Plug really tight. Then see if you have a problem.
In this case you could cause more problems and it is a lot easier and a lot less expensive to follow these instructions. triple check every connection.

DOes yours work now. Theres only one possibility that it could be, when I removed my stock Heatsink I didn tnot unscrew the screws right and I felt a bending like noise on the motherboard, not sure if I did anything, It seems ti post though.

Untighten that screw that you torqued down and lightly tighten it.

Reseat everything. If it still does it, you might have a motherboard problem, but I doubt it.

I agree with enigma. I think that you should just triple check every single connector or even just go to bare minimal parts. Monitor, video card, motherboard. Thats it. Just to see if it posts. And maybe hard drive if you want.
