Default Problem with computer

Okay so I installed the Dark Knight put everything back together and then when I go to turn on the power nothing powers on. Power supply is lit up and I tried just hooking up a fan to the power supply but nothing happens. Im not sure if its my motherboard, when I went to take off my stock cpu I didnt carefully unscrew the screws as I should have done and my board made a sound after I unscrewed two of the screws? I think I attached all the cords back together. Im not sure why the fan doesnt work either?

Any suggestions? Thanks

i to had this happen when i installed my dark knight but as it turned out i had hooked up the wires to the power button on front of case wrong.

Does your mobo have a power an reset button on in to try, mine are located on the bottom left of mobo give this a go to rule out having put wires back on wrong

Also try an plug all cables in again incase one is not seated right.

Best of luck....

Default Problem with Comp

Alright so I didnt have a couple of the connectors to the start and reset buttons in... Stupid I know lol....But now everything boots up but I dont get a post visually on my monitor. My monitor is connected and my GPU is also connected to the motherboard and by its power connector. The CPU fan of my DK lights up and spins which is wierd. That means the motherboard works right? What havent I done yet?

Try resetting CMOS. Make sure everything is seated properly.

2 ways. Remove the jumper, but the easier way is to look for a quarter sized battery usually somewhere near the lower right part of your motherboard. Flip the switch, then unplug your power supply first and go ahead and remove that battery. Wait 15-30 seconds. Put it back in, plug in PSU and flip switch to on.

You said you don't get a visual post. Do you have the internal speaker hooked up so you can get an audio post?

You can reset it with a screwdriver

ya I get an audio post is that a good sign? Also it seems as though one fan or something is making a unusual noise, like its on a very low frequency of speed .

Yes, that's good. But there's a problem with your video. Unplug your GPU and reseat it.

Can you tell where it's coming from?
