Very nice work! Here is a pic that shows the exact amount of IC7 diamond thermal paste to use. It makes the exact size dot of paste the manufacturer recommends. You can add it if you want.

I suppose you could try taping up the sides of it. (It's a down facing cooler isn't it.) I don't know how much it would improve the temps though.

They recommend a 5mm size dot. i dont know the weight but that measurement is .1 ML dispensed from the syringe that the TIM comes in.
