Best 120mm x 25mm fans?

I'm looking for 120x25mm fans that move the most air possible. Price doesn't matter too much, if they're too expensive I'll just buy them one at a time.

I'm looking for fans with high static pressure/high CFM.

cheapest is yate loon.

if u want good ones. go for scythes. the s-flex f's are quiet and move quite a bit of air too

Hmm... my options are buying a few of those pricier ones or buying a lot of these

...but now I'm not sure if they're "real" or what since I got that advice on the last page. I've never ordered from that site either so I'm not sure.

Anyone got any more advice?

ive ordered from jab-tech. if u dont have a fan controller, the high speed ones are a bit noisy. i dont know if they are real or not. they work. cheap. im happy. Lol

if u dont wanna use a fan controller. the medium speeds are great. if u wanna buy pricier ones.. the s-flex f's are great.

No fan controller here. Not too worried about noise though. If it does get too bad I supposed I could get a controller but I can deal with some fan noise, my AC isn't the most quiet thing ever so fans won't really hurt.

I'm just a bit iffy on the jab-tech yates because $3.70 seems like a killer deal.

im gonna butt in here and ask a question real quick.

What is the best 120x25 fan that moved the most air but is very quiet? Currently I have 3c Scythe Slipstream 1900 RPM fans and they are just simply too loud. I have to undervolt them with a controller just to be able to stand the noise level.

Noisy is very subjective. Slipstreams suck if you don't want noise. Go with S-Flex-f if you are at least 2 feet away from your Case. Go with the E if your close. If not get a Gentle Typhoon of similar speed. They push a little less air but have more pressure then S-flex. (hint: they have more fins)

By that knowledge slipstreams must have a lot of pressure, yet they don't. S-Flex fans have much more pressure than a Gentle Typhoon. Blade pitch is most important, not number of fins. Delta has some 3 blade fans that have insane amounts of pressure.

EDIT:Well, not exactly "fake", but with smaller than normal fan motors, which is a bad thing

This place sells real ones

I gotta clear this up again? Argh. OK, here's how it works. Petras Tech Shop orders Yates DIRECTLY from Yate Loon, and as such, only stock fans made ENTIRELY by Yate Loon. Every other shop (rumor went around some time ago that Jab-Tech was going to start ordering directly from Yate Loon but to my knowledge they never did Update: they finally did) uses a middleman that builds Yates out of lower-quality parts. They're still Yate Loons, but they're "cheap" Yates; they don't undervolt as well and their static pressure isn't as good. Back when "cheap" Yates started appearing on the market, you could tell them apart from pure-Yate-made Yates (sounds funny to say) just by looking at them, but now you actually have to open them and look at the motors and bearings. Medium- and low-speed Yates made by middlemen are built with smaller motors, but high-speed Yates are made with the same size motor whether a middleman pieced it together or Yate Loon. Thing is, it's a lower-quality motor coming from the middleman to save money in the long run. As such, it doesn't undervolt as well as a "pure" Yate Loon. LATER EDIT: Confirmed in this thread that smaller motors are being used by middlemen in even the high-speed Yates.

Short answer is, Petras stocks higher quality Yate Loons and everyone else's (except where noted) are lower quality. There's no such thing as a "fake" Yate Loon. If you can't spend that much, and don't have a fan controller, you won't notice a difference wherever you get it. Otherwise, get Yate Loons from Petras.

LATE EDIT:

I'd like to add that one of my contacts gave Yate Loon a call and asked about suppliers that ordered directly from them. I wasn't given full details but I do know he was told that Aquatuning does, in fact, order directly from Yate Loon, and they (Aquatuning) ship internationally (late update; Aquatuning have expanded to include a US/Canada store with very reasonable shipping, and they use the same warehouse as the original .de store, so you get the same Yates). So for those overseas or anyone in the US willing to import from Germany, there is a confirmed second option (or just a confirmed source for those not in the US).
