or so they're called here. any ways... i'm thinking about whether or not a blow hole (1 120mm or maybe 2 80mm) would help my system. right now i have 2 80mm front in, 2 80mm back out, a powersupply with a 80mm fan on each sides pumping air out (and keeping it chilly ), an 80mm side out, and 120mm over my sp120 cpu. the temps seem nice now but if i over clock i don't know if they will stay there. sound is not an issue for me it is about as loud as my window a/c unit sometimes.

You could always buy higher CFM fans, they will of course be louder though.

Blowholes are good because they take the heat right out the top where it collects.

Really? I never saw it that way...cause my case has a blow hole on it and I deemed it un necessary...but then again heat rises, cold falls, makes sense to me .

noise is not an issue. but if i do upgrade or overclock i want to make sure that all the heat is gone. heat dispersion is important but the only problem i have is that the blow holes will be right behind the dvdr and infront of the power supply. so not sure if so necessary.
do u guys think 2 80's would be better or the 1 120?

I think 1x 120mm right in the center of the case will be your best bet.

i just saw that frozencpu has a 150mm fan, but i'm not sure if that would be too excessive, and if i'd be able to mount it properly. anyone's thoughts on how i'd mount these enormous fans to this thin case?

no point to wasting that much power. It's got something like 1.6 amp draw?! I dunno about the use of it...but at low power it would be quieter and move more air than a 120mm.

But for the $50 you might spend on that thing, you could be half way to a quieter case that comes with 2x120mm fans. Just pop in your current ones and you'll have a silent wonder Or you could get an industrial fan from home depot to blow on your case 24/7 (if you really don't care about the noise factor). Or you could swap your 80mm fans for some 120mm's with 80 to 120 adapters.

I'm sure you can find them cheaper elsewhere, I just look to www.frozencpu.com first for everything.

Well, when I decided to make my blowhole, I made 2 mistakes, I cut the hole before I got my new PSU, and on top of that I didn't even think about my cd drives, so you've gotta measure the space you want to cut out between your psu and cd drive if you want it to fit correctly. However if you get a 120mm fan, your going to spend alot on the actual hole saw, (hole saw is the only way you should go unless you want to use a jigsaw) I would say about... $30-$50, I spent $20 on my 70mm hole saw. Through all of the trouble I've gone through with it, I didn't notice a temperature difference, well I did but I can't really say it was because of the blowhole becuase I then added an extra 4x 80mm fans @ 72CFM, and then a 120mm fan @ 96CFM to my also new heatsink (xp-120), so I noticed drastic temperature differences, but couldn't tell if the blowhole itself did anything.

So, basically what I'm trying to say is that you should get a 120mm (110mm probably) blow hole, and try that out, otherwise get another case.

thank u all for the input it has really helped on the decision making. there is enough room for the 120 and now i see that yes the 150 would be excessive overkill. i'll keep you posted with results and probably more questions.
