Will i see a difference in temps if i mount it one way or another in the case ? It's a case very similar to the antec 900, so im afraid it's not going to fit with the case vertically, because of the side fan.
Thanks + rep

Doesn't make much difference. Just make sure it can clear your memory.

Im trying to visualise what you mean but If I have it right, you may draw hot air from your GPU if the cooler fan is in the horizontal.

Vertical is ideal. Blowing out the back.

With the case you have, I don't think it matters what direction you have it.

I don't think it really matters what position since your CPU's a dual core. It matters to Quad Cores however.. check this out: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coo...coolers_3.html

With respect to the above post, "ye cannot change the laws of physics, Jim"
Hot air will rise and if you have a fan in the path of that heat flow, it will suck it in. Case design, notwithstanding, id suggest the OP trail both positions, if possible, and see which is the cooler of the two. From a personal perspective, I gained 2-3c moving from a horizontal to a vertical configuration... not a biggy but still a difference.

That's actually a pretty big difference. I'd say most of it probably came from reseating better or something.

You will see a difference. Like already stated hot air rises.. It may only be 1 to 2 degrees but it will change temps. Does the case in question have a top fan?
