I've used the first one you linked to. Works great and keeps the case from becoming dusty which is huge on an Antec 900. Also the ripple effect it has raises the surface area and reduces airflow restriction at the same time. This should mean better airflow while still maintaining good filtration. The second one has no such feature so I wouldn't be surprised if it were considerably more restrictive.

Oh ok. But the problem I'm seeing with square fan filters is that it "blocks" the edges of the 4 sides of the fan because of the non-meshed part of the filter itself? Do you get what I mean? Lol.

![]() ![]() looking at my pics I see what you're saying. It's not an issue. The linked filters you show look good but with all flat filters they will clog fast. Not an issue if you keep on top of it, and I like the fine material.

Keep on top of it as in clean it regularly. Yes I recommend it, its a good filter although ugly by comparison to the others you've linked. They work well, don't clog fast, and don't seem to cause additional fan noise.

I have three of these on the outside of my Antec 900. Very easy to keep clean, and no screws or anything since they are magnetic. I just vacuum them off with a dust buster every so often.

![]() What dust buster do you use? Also, can they be used if I use silicon mounts with my fans?

It's a cheapo LazerVac (As seen on tv thing), and they also make non-magnetic ones, but I'm not sure how they stay attached then. My case is metal, so. There are pics of them on my case in the link in my sig.
