the ''Arctic Cooler'' Apprieciation thread.-gt...jpg

what a great cooler (once i replaced the stock 90mm)

this outperforms the Megahalem, & any other cooler i can think of.

feel free to chime in if you love or hate the AC7.

I bought a lapped AC7 off of Slider46 a while back and it is great for my HTPC. I love the PWM fan. It never needs to go above 1200rpm to keep my E7200 cool. Most of the time it just stays at ~900.

I think it is easily in my top 3 favorite heatsinks of all time...OF ALL TIME.

What fan are you using? That's definitely the best AC7 pro I've seen. Was it lapped or modded in any other way than the fan or is that it?

im using this fan....

92mm Vantec Tornado

its a bit of a beast, but it just shows how good the block actually is when you get some air movement across it.

Oh that would explain it, one of my friends got that and his parents said it was too loud (something along the lines of as a loud as a vacuum cleaner). good to see a healthy breeze across heatsinks these days.

I have the freezer pro 64 sitting on a 6400+ on another system. The fan only runs when gaming on it. I really considered putting it on my current system. But I just like my Dark Knight too much for this particular system.

mines the same...... i actually run it passive while idle @ 30c & only engage the fan when the rig is stressed.

without doubt the BEST ''bang for your buck'' cooler on the market.
