Hi all,
__________________I put in a new setup into my tt lanbox lite, and I am in need of some better cooling. I want to hit 3.0ghz with my new(old) cpu. i have a 9850BE, that has been lapped (very good job), and the stock HSF. I have about 100mm of space above the processor, so no huge tower coolers fit. i heard that the scythe mini ninja can, but it needed the top of the heatpipes cut off. what should I get? rep to people who can find me some links to good deals, or just for good advice.

If I recall correctly, the PSU sit directly over the CPU? Being the case, make sure to get a PSU with a 120/140mm fan. Then get a downdraft heatsink. Examples: Thermalright SI-128 SE: http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_pa...age/cpu/si-128 Noctua NH-C12P: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=p...r_si128se.html Scythe ZIPANG: http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cp...00_detail.html Scythe ANDY SAMURAI MASTER: http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cp...00_detail.html Silverstone NT-06E: http://www.silverstonetek.com/produc...o=NT06-E&area=

I think that the Xigmatek HDT-D1284 is your best bet.

Here is the cooler you could use. Did a pretty good job but will need lapped to ensure best thermal transfer
![]() This is the same heatsink above flipped upside down to illustrate how unfinished the base is. Definitely needs lapped ![]() These will also fit but I don't think I need to tell you how bad they suck. ![]() Stick with the Genini. You can even use 2x 92mm fans instead of 1x 120 here is the Gemini for $19.99 at the Cooler Master store

Oops... sorry, I'm struggling to take anything in today.Something like the Silverstone NT06-Lite should do, it's quite pricy, though. :\

The only problem I see with that is where would you mount the rad? This is assuming you don't want to hack the case up.
