Somebody put one of those in as their PWR LED on their HAF. I don't remember who, but thanks to him, I'm really enjoying having something different for a change. I just finished the same mod to my PWR LED. I might redo it with a lesser resistor because all the colors don't cycle through hooked up to the MB PWR LED rather than straight 12v.

I accidentally snapped both my washers.

Does it work with normal metal ones?

It's a magnetic fan. It will likely stay on just by the magnets, but no worries. . . Clean the grease off the tip of the post and then put a wad of JB Weld or other apoxy on the end of it. Let it dry and you'll be set. Just be sure the blades spin freely when you do it. Hope that helps.

Speaking of which, I do have an LED that changes colors in an old mouse. Thanks for the idea of the front panel.

EDIT: Mod was really easy, now my front led matches my fans!

Smile 230mm Fan LED Upgrade

I have the stock non led 230mm fan from my HAH 932 and would like to add red led's to it. Did you add a resistor to the led array? Or did you connect the led's through the fan itself? Did you use a jumper inside the fan and does it already have a resistor? Did you hook the power and ground to a molex connector? If you connected to the fan would like to know the voltage your led is rated at, forward voltage, continuous forward current, and resistor size. Sssume green led is different than a red led. I am new at this and am trying to figure out how to do the mod. I follow what you did using the existing led holes and wire raceways.

Great mod and would like to paint the fan the same way you did perhaps without rough sanding!

Thanks
