I've never seen a place that does "send-in" lapping.

he's asking for laptop sink lapping
basically to counter the heat of the notebook. honestly i dunno how effective its gonna be, prob better off just getting a better exhaust fan or something.

no but, it is a small HS it was an idea jsut a way to squeeze more out of it, fora tecra m2 or m3 i know fora fact if you could lap the chipset/gfx sync and place the thermal past with as5, the chipset cooler have heat pipes but they are crimped on and use whit thermal paste them selves, the gfxs are thermal throttle so better cooling means better fps.

![]() My first 3 real computers were laptops and I don't remember anybody lapping a HS but it sounds like a great idea. ![]() I have seen some replace the thermal paste with a quality brand but that's about it. If you're having a cooling problem have you tried to blow the dust out? Have you disassembled the machine and cleaned it? None of my Toshibas had any filters and the cooling fan and pathways were constantly dirty. I cleaned these yearly but my Toshibas weren't too bad to take apart. The only other thing I can recommened is one of those cooling pads with fans. The one I had definately dropped the temps.
