I can mount this: http://www.chilledpc.co.uk/shop/prod...roducts_id=467 on my San Ace 9G-H1011 and then mount it directly to the MegaShadow but I'm worried about the silicon melting when using the CPU 100%.

FYI, the silicon melting point is 1410 º C (2577 °F)

Oh, so the heatsink itself isn't that hot compared to what HWMonitor shows?

Oh ok. So as long as my temps are 80C max (Overclocked), I shouldn't worry about the silicone?

From what im reading if its a soft silicon washer the melting point is MUCH lower.

That's a good question. No idea /shrug. You can pretty much bet the washers to mount between the gasket are gonna be a soft silicon.

Silicon and Silicone are very different things (though silicone has silicon in it).
__________________Anyway, if you have a fan on your heatsink, it's never going to get to 70C. I'm testing a new OC on my i7 right now. CPU temp is in the mid-80s C, heatsink can't be warmer than 45-50C, and this is a near perfect mounting between two lapped surfaces with good thermal compound.
