The H50 is mainly made for computers that can't fit a full tower cooler, and it's not made to handle overclocking either.

No, the included fan clips are for 25mm fans. But Prolimatech does sell them 38mm fans separately.
I just ordered them Corsair Calumniators from a fellow OCN member, and I hope they will fit due to the removal of the mini heatsinks.

No it shouldn't warp your board at all over time. The only possibility where warping may occur is if you install it incorrectly. Just follow the instructions very carefully and if you run into problems just ask us for help, that's what we are here for!

is ~3c worth that extra $40?

IMO, if you are gonna spend a minumum of $100 for an air cooler you might as well spend an extra $50 and get a nice water cooling setup.
