But video cards have a back plate and a screw that supports the cards weight. As it is locked and cannot move. so you really can't compare that to a hanging heatsink.

But very nice rig indeed. I really like it great work.

Well yes but i did run mine with no fans on it with just the case fans moving air. And it actually did pretty good on a i7 920 @ stock.

Wow the H50 is having a hard time getting accepted around here. I'm not saying it's the best thing since the light bulb but it's not as bad as some people are selling it as. Most of the review sites have good things to say about it and at least for me it brings a level of performance to the table that makes me have a second look at it. As a matter of fact my sig rig (Megahalems-equipped) is running Prime behind me as I write this. As soon as I'm satisfied that it's stable I'm going to throw an H50 (also right here next to me) on there to give it a fair chance.

Also, saying a pressure-modded cooler with shrouded high RPM fans beats out a LCLC with a single medium-speed fan is apples to oranges. In most chassis, I don't know why you couldn't put push/pull on the H50's radiator as well.

It weighs exactly the same as the normal TRUE 120, how the hell is your board warping?
How are you mounting your heatsink?
What else do you have on the board?
When i was using the TRUE Black, i never had warping issues from the multiple boards i used on it.
Please i'd like to see this data on warping MB because of a 790g heatsink.
this^ I'd like to see data also.

I have had & do use the TRUE 120 which weighs the same as a Pro Mega which I have btw.
Over the years never had any kind of "bow" issue, nor have I heard of any with TRUE 120
I would never jerry rig my heatsink with zip ties.

Now the TRUE Copper @ 1900 grams is heavy and could pose a problem in vertical mounted boards, that is heavy.

When someone is willing to spend $110 on aircooling then I think they can dish out another $40 without going broke. That's just me though.
$50 for a gain of 1-3C? This is OCN...ppl willingly pay that here...it is about pushing the limits here right? So you calling that foolish at a forum that encourages such a wanton waste of money is foolish in itself.

If you want to talk about extra money for minimum gains, compare the MUGEN 2 to the H50 and try again. Otherwise, see Maestrotogo's post.

Do you enjoy looking foolish? Because it IS water cooling. ALL water loops are closed until you uncap the reservoir/fill port/whatever, and ALL water loops require maintenance of some sort. You don't need to own it to know that, and if you think otherwise, then you'll only have yourself to blame later down the road.

You didn't get it. Some people have very tight budgets. $110 gets you the absolute BEST CPU air cooling setup possible; unlike water cooling, if you keep spending beyond this point, you'll see even smaller gains if any at all. For water, that extra $40 over the air setup gets you a good single-120mm water loop that will do noticeably better than the H50, and especially better than the best air cooling. Keep spending more at that point, and you get better blocks, better tubing, bigger and higher quality rads, etc., so it performs as well as you need it to for any setup you might have.

110$ gets you some nice watercooling if you look for second hand parts on ebay and the FS section here. anything over 60$ is a waste for air (excluding fan), if you have more to spend, make sure its enough for decent water, or save anything over that 60$ and get that water gear later, or upgrade other parts.

But like I said, 110$ can get you some nice stuff, you just gotta know where to look and what to look for. Join us in the WC section for better help.
