Default Fan Wire Harness

hey folks, I am making a fan wire harness to split one connecter to 3 fans. If I cut the wires in 3 different lengths (in parallel) will it have a negative effect?

You can split one to three no problem. Just use the molex connectors from the PSU and not the mobo connectors at that point.

well, here is a pic of the harness im trying to make. Its not to scale as the 2nd and 3rd wires will be longer than that. They are connecting a Lamptron FC-2 fan controller to 3 Yate Loon D12SH-12 fans. The final product will have 6 fans per channel on at least 4 channels. The harnesses will eventually be sleeved and all that goodness that everyone here will approve of If you are wondering why all this mess, its going on my Ascension case. Oh and dont worry, only 1 fan cable will have the RPM cable attached. (I just havent cut them yet)

that'll work nicely. You can even buy splitters configured exactly like that.

I like the ones at Frozen CPU. So..... if I have cables at different lengths, then it wont cause a power fluctuation as long as they are parallel? I am trying to keep it neat, if they all have to be the same length (distance from controller connector to fan connector) I can arrange that, but if they can be different lengths that would be most excellent!

the wire length doesn't need to be equal. And in fact will make it harder to manage the wires later (assuming the fans are at different locations)

I'll have to find the pics of my radiator fans I wired to one 3-pin.
