At the moment i am experiencing difficulties with my cooler which is Thermaltake Qspin. It simply does not function when plugged into the appropriate slot, which could either be the motherboard problem or the problem of the cooler itself.
The motherboard being the problem may be greater because i tested it by plugging in the stock cooler, which required the slot next to the one for the custom cooler, which did not function either. I was wondering weather any of you had experience with such difficulties or have any suggestions about this matter. If the cooler will turn out to be the fault afterall then i will most likely start asking for purchase recommendations in that area. |

If you plug the connector to the mobo, and don't receive any power, you should check the Bios. I am betting the power controls for the CPU could be off. If that's not the case, then you could get a molex - 3 pin adapter and plug the CPU cooler, which would mean that the fan speed is 100%. If you get a fan controller, then you would be able to set the speed thus reducing noise.

You will need something like this. 4 pin adapter to 3 pin fan adapter
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812189119 Or this http://cgi.ebay.com/6-inch-3Pin-Fan-...item5ad35eb3c8 They are pretty easy to be found anywhere. You can buy like a reg fan and it should come with it.

Also check the Rheostat on that particular cooler make sure its turned up all the way. or disconnect it entirely if possible. Also try a different 3 pin connector the motherboard has more than 1 im sure you can manage to pull the connector over to a different fan plug other than the one specified for the CPU then go into the bios if it is working and see if PWM is turned on.
