Wow I din't know that. I have a HAF922 and I'm deciding to buy a 200mm Storm Force fan because they are stronger than the stock fan (Megaflow) of my case. So they are not compatible with the switch of my HAF922?

Did you catch this review over at newegg

Quote:
Pros: tremendous amount of airflow. paired with the cooler master haf 922 means unsurpassed cooling solution. 200mm means low noise level

Cons: should have been included with the haf 922. more seriously, comes with a 2 pin connection for led power and a molex for fan power. molex connection is fine, but good luck getting led power using the 2 pin connection. most modern mobos have 3 pin power. cannot understand why cm didn't include a 2 pin to 3 pin converter cable, which is at most a $0.10 part. had to order a 3rd party cable so right now running just the fan with no led.

Other Thoughts: a great fan that moves an unbelievable amount of air at a reasonable noise level. cm takes a definite ding (-1 egg) for not including the proper cabling solution.

Manufacturer Responseear Valued Customer,
We apologize for the inconvenience you have had. The 2 pin’s function is to turn on/off the led light on the fan. The Fan itself is meant only for the storm sniper. That’s why it has a not so average connections coming from the fan.
Respectfully,

CMUSA – Customer Support.
If you dont care about the LED working then it will work fine otherwise you will have to mod the connection. I order that fan and should be here on Friday but I wasnt planning to use the LED anyway

I don't understand, it has a 2pin connection? Well, in that case, it's exactly the same as the Megaflow, so I won't be having a problem since I have 2 two-pin connections that is connected to the switch of my HAF922 case.

since blowing the circuit for my leds, if wired them up in series by wires, and now, power comes in throught the molex, then goes into a red wire with a resistor, up to a 2pin female connecter (which will go to the switch) then back to the fan with the 4 leds in series before grounding on the negative (i think that if you wire it up the same way it will be fine, but you can probably get a cheaper fan and do the same thing). now there is no issue with the leds, i just need a new switch from coolermaster

Wait, can I ask a favor from you? Can you take a pic of what connectors the fan comes with? I'm not sure if I understood what you've explained above, lol

your right about this, but for some reason it blew my switch. I may have just wired it wrong, but according to coolermaster, the storm force fan cant be used with the switch, after i get the new switch i plan on connecting it up to the same terminals as the front fan, shouldnt be too much current from what the guy at my local electronics store said. and how did u get 2 2pins, my case only came with the one for the front lol

Oh, you also have the HAF922 case, I didn't recognize that. Did you try to tie up 2 2-pin connectors of TWO fans and connect them directly to a the SINGLE 2-pin connector with the HAF922? If you did, that will definitely blow up, lol.

The switch that comes with the HAF922 is a double throw, double pole switch. I soldered my own 2-pin wire to the switch. In this way, both LED SWITCHES connected to the switch are independent of each other.

Do you get what I mean? I'm an EE, so I did my own mod with this, lol.

Someone should seriously try a fan like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/8-INC...item19b6518daf. It would probably have to go on the side though as it would be larger than 200mm.

Maybe this could help explain what you mean better.
