Based on your budget and the place you're buying from, it seems this is your only option

This is pretty cheap, but doesn't come with a fan nor an 1156 bracket. Those things will add cost to it.

I'd worry if this was any good or not, and whether it fits on the mobo or not (it looks huge, and the MOSFET heatsinks might get in the way?)

I don't think they do a 1156 bracket at all yet, so I'll have to give that a miss

I see the Hyper TX3 on the site, although I've read bad reviews of it (like, sub-stock reviews)

You can't go wrong with the Noctua Although it is quite expensive

Haha, amen!

Edit: I think I'm targetting a base clock of 154MHz to give 4GHz under Turbo, what kind of VCore am I looking at, and is the Noctua serious overkill?

1.38-1.40v, Although for 4GHz+, I'll leave the voltages at 1.4v.

I guess I'm going to go with the Noctua - I've got my target, and would be disappointed if I don't get it. Plus, it's always nice to have some headroom - you can raise the target later that way

^ Your temperature should be around 36-38c idle and 76c full load while running Prime95 with a ambient temperature of 23c
