I need a bit of help deciding which CPU cooler to buy.
__________________CPU: Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.66Ghz MOBO: Asus P7P55D My main two choices are the new Xigmatek Balder SD1283 and the Thermaltake SpinQ VT. I'm not an extreme overclocker, I will probably overclock a bit, not too much. Out of these two, which one is the better option? Thanks

The Mugen 2 doesn't fit on 1156.

The retention brackets for the Scythe Mugen 2 comes out this month or next month (I can't remember the exact date)
As for a suggestion for the LGA1156 cooler, I would recommend the Noctua NH-U12P SE2, which is capable with most sockets.

Balder, I heard its like the dark knight, but white.
The dark knight pleased me, so the balder should please you. If you want the ability to fine coolers easier, try looking at all the ASrock P55 boards, they have LGA 775 mounting. Also look at EVGA's P55 boards, they have LGA 775 mounting holes as well.

Bit of a bump, and a cheeky change in direction slightly, but this is my only obstacle to my new build, and I can't find reliable information on Google for love nor money.
My budget is about £30 (probably could stretch to about £35 if there's a good reason), and I'll be buying from here (as I can buy in person, paying no postage and getting it on the day). I'm getting an MSI mobo, so I guess I can only use 1156 coolers and not 1366 or 775 coolers without a mounting kit? Anyway, does anyone have any evidence-based suggestions (i.e. have direct experience of the coolers or sources showing it) of the coolers under £30-35?

Since there's barely any coolers in that site, I would wait for the Scythe Mugen 2 Socket 1156 brackets to be released this month or next month. The only cooler that is within your price range is the Artic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...FRZ-7PR20.html
