I'm going to test something in my tower... That's replacing all my fans with high speed fans i'm thinking about using ultra kraze's... I'm going to have them all run at fullspeed and see what i get. My case is a Haf 923, I7 920, True 120 Cooler... What do you guys think about this? Any idea's on a better fan to use? I'm trying to see what the highest clock i can get on just air. I'm going to go all out and price is not an object... Idea's please?

I have a fan controller already. I do not care about the noise i'm doing this just as a test to see what i can do on just air. When i'm done i'm just going to do water cooling anyways so it's not a big deal.

On your TRUE. Model # : 9CR1212G002 Rated voltage : 12V Operating voltage range : 10.8V - 13.2V Rated current : 7.2A Rated input : 86.4W Rated rotating speed : Inlet:6,200RPMs / Outlet:3,800RPMs Air flow(m3/min) : 8.5 (300 CFM) Static pressure (Pa) : 480 Noise : 70dBA Mass : 670g ... Okay that may be a bit overboard! A better fan to try this with would be the San Ace H101. Also do you have your TRUE lapped and pressure modded? Is your CPU lapped? Did you cover up the sides of the TRUE? Do you have a shroud (bigger is better, 6" is supposedly optimal, 2 25mm for 50mm works well though) on your push heatsink fan? All those things will result in significant temp drops. Two H101s in push-pull with a completely lapped/modded TRUE/CPU will probably be close to the max on air.

As long as that is your take on the situation then I'd say the Kaze's are a great fan to use.

Rated input : 86.4W Be careful with those fans... make sure your PSU can handle it. What PSU do you have? That's a lot of amps and wattage for just a fan... Definitely lap the processor. Covering up the sides mod will help a lot too. Just put your hand over the side openings on the fins of your TRUE. Notice how much air is being pushed out that way. Axial fans actually push out air in a 45 degree angle from their fins. So if you cover up the sides, the air actually goes straight through the TRUE! Also you don't need to get two for push-pull, that's just my crazy suggestions. Heck I don't know it might be better but seriously, these are 76mm deep fans with insane amounts of static pressure due to its counter-rotating design.

it would be good if your pc was really far away from you like outside the house some where.

__________________$2.50 Yates from jab-tech... just saw out the plastic joints (quite possible with a regular steak knife). I connected them together with dental floss, which isn't exactly ideal (there is a tiny bit of slack so they aren't completely flush) but it works and is cheap. P.S. please post pics and keep us updated! This is something (uber air cooling) I've wanted to do for a while but just didn't have the money.
