true, it doesn't automatically mean that the ambient temps are good. usually people in colder climates keep their houses cooler because their used to it and its cheaper. is there any thermal goo on the processor? a cheap fix might to just buy some as5 and put that on.

Again, no clue about the goo. I havn't even tried taking apart the fan or anything. I'm super basic when it comes to assembly of computer stuff, though ask me about software, and I can list off 20 pages :P

OK, you still havnt said if this has been a problem since you got the computer or if it is something that has just been getting worse and worse. Also, did you buy the computer new?

Well then I'd say there about 25% chance its a dust problem

Yes, I would definately look into two things.
1. Try to find your ambient temperature if thats high then there is your problem. Get some airflow in your case.
2. Take off your HSF, clean off the old thermal grease and put some AS5 on that bad boy.

agreed, in fact i've been wondering if there is ANY thermal grease on it, those temps are high for stock speeds. yea try getting some as5 and see if that clears up the problem.
