Another sucked in by marketing. Tut tut. You realize if you have to do basically ANYTHING with your RAM, you need to remove the V10, right? Which means un-mounting... cleaning... re-applying TIM... re-mounting... every single time you need to remove or add RAM. If you have RAM that goes so far/fast as to need a fan on the DIMMs, it's likely that it came with fans itself, so what's the point? The Megahalems performs noticeably better and doesn't completely cover your RAM (depends on the board and fan thickness, but still), AND costs much less. I think it's obvious what the right choice is...

Twin Towers...whoa.
I knew I wasn't the only one. They need to rethink that one.

True, but you're buying one solid piece of equipment, which still makes it one physical entity, therefore to avoid confusion, it should be called "Megahalem."

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coo..._19.html#sect0

thats the page that matters m8

edit
my 2 cents

at stock speeds with a 120mm spinning 600rpm mine doesnt get hot enough to move my core 1 stuck sensor above 36c and the rest hit 34c.

highest i have had so far has been 4ghz on 1.35v and although its not yet 100% stable it only hit 45c under full load.

LAWL! I was playing devil's advocate. LAWL!

I mean, look all of them ram coolers from Corsair to OCZ. Someone would prolly be thinking, "mmm V10 does both cpu cooling and ram rooling...YAY!".
*2 hours laterz* "OMG, what have i bought...facepalm" (with reference to Chunky_Chimp's statement).
I concur that marketing does play a role, plus the wide availability @ big retailers (like newegg) whereas the Megahalems is found at specialty sites which I believe does make an impact for consumers who don't do enough research or ask questions.

Btw, I already own several Megahalems + San Aces which cost more and betterz than the V10.

------
That's a good review marsey99 that helped me, but ultimately it was the ppl's feedback and recommendation here OCN that was the big factor.
