my case has 2 antec tri-cools on it (120mm and a 140mm) im thinking about getting a fan controller for the front of my case, but these fans use Molex power connections instead of the normal 3-pin fan hookups that fan controllers use, is there an adapter for this, or do the tri-cools just not work with fan controllers due to their 'built in' speed switchs (low-medium-high)?

you can get adapters. They normally come when you buy fans separetely from the case.

Kind of a waste since their already switches control the speeds low-med-high unless you plan on getting more or replace the ones then I'd say get one.

my fan controller came with all the adapters needed to control molex, ccfl's, and normal 3 pin TX3 connectors. and mine is cheap i bet the nice ones do everything but tickle your crack.

the reason i want to hook them to a controller is that the 'switches' for the fans are tucked inside the case, and thusly, cant be raised/lowered as neccesary to reduce noise. right now im searching for a controller with small knobs, im planning to do sort of a stealth-mod to it, and i want it to be as inconspicuous as possible

sbeast, I did the same as you for the same reason. Just get adapters. That's what I did.

I agree with Shadowclock, if you are going to have knobs on the front, there are some ready made units that will look better and cleaner than anything you could probably build yourself even if you were very good.

For the fan controller itself I'd recommend Lamptron FC2
45W channel / 6 Channels, overall very solid build to it.
